ARMSTRONG
Pneumatic
TUBE STRIPPER

MODEL PTS (PATENTED)***

The third step is the complete removal of the
worn tube from the condenser with the
Armstrong pneumatic Stripper™. Alternate
tubes in alternate rows are first pulled with
the Armstrong hydraulic tube puller. Then,
an operator follows along behind the tube
puller to completely remove the tubes with
his tool.

Cycle Rate: 4 tubes per minute (30 ft. long)
Machine Weight:
100 lbs. (a tool balancer
or jin pole is supplied)
Air Requirements: 200 CFM at 100 PSI

ARMSTRONG
Automatic
SCRAP CHOPPER

MODEL HSC **

The final step in tube removal is the disposal
of the scrap tubes. After the entire tube is
removed from the condenser, use
Armstrong's high speed, self-feeding
rotary tube chopper on a roll-around stand.
It automatically flattens and chops tubes
into 4" pieces expelling them downward
into a 55 gallon drum, a large bin or onto a
conveyor. The machine has a safety lever
which quickly disengages the pressure rolls.

Productivity: 6 tubes per minute (30 ft. long) -
highest speed in the industry.
Power: 230/460V three phase 5 hp. motor.
Air:
80 PSIG static line pressure.
Weight:
chopper, 580 lbs.; stand, 140 lbs.
Advantages:
Scrap is compressed into a
much smaller volume, hence scrapped
tubes are removed from confined work areas
easily and rapidly with less tedious
handling. Scrap values are increased.

NEW INNOVATIVE DOUBLE ACTING,
TUBE STRIPPER

Armstrong & Sons, Inc., recently redesigned its top of the line, pneumatically powered Stripper™ to increase  speed and efficiency. Now an additional piston promotes the goal of safe, swift tube extraction. The removal of tubes during the initial  stage of condenser/exchanger maintenance is now easier with the new Stripper™ by Armstrong.

Design Advantages
• Pulls at twice the speed of previous models, yet still at a safe, comfortable pace.

• Removes tubes round, unlike wheeled devices which flatten tube into an unstable, difficult-to-handle, hazardous ribbon configuration. With the Stripper™, scrap tubes remain round and stack normally. This is an especially important feature when chopping is not required!

• Performs with a continuous and fluid pull by using additional gripping teeth and opposed piston motion. This is in sharp contrast to the jerking motion of other piston-driven tools.

• Requires less operator effort, therefore causes less operator fatigue!

• Operates on plant air - a portable, compact, self-contained tool!

• Sets up in minutes - no time-consuming installation of heavy, cumbersome hydraulic pumping systems!

• Eliminates the need for heavy duty 230/460V, 40 amp electrical supply and 5 GPM cooling water supply for hydraulic pump!
